Was Plato ADD? Podcast 111808

Whether they will admit it or not, all the "docs" who author books about ADD/adhd are ADD themselves (we ghostwriters know the truth). Anyway, the last time I ghostwrote a book about ADD for some "somebody," he wanted me to put in the positive traits of ADD (so he could remember the good things about himself). I wrote on the positive things that we ADDers are, and it hit me--an epiphany! I remember my philosophy classes in college and graduate school, and I remember Socrates and Plato--especially what Plato wrote in his "Republic" around 350 B.C. He described the "ideal society or polis," and he wrote about a small percentage of the population-- "Guardians"--that were different in nature and kind from the rest. Plato describes these "Guardians" and their difference, and he was describing the positive traits of ADDers!!! This audiobook chapter (6) from "Born Losers or Leaders?" is all about our GOOD STUFF!!! NOTE: I really need to hear from a few podcast listeners..... email me at jerryseiden@gmail.com and let me know if anybody's out there listening.
